Survival Guide

Here you can find everything that you need to attend to DrupalCamp Spain.

Venue

DrupalCamp Spain will take place at Las Cigarreras, located near Alicante's heart, 20 minutes walking from the Alicante's train terminal. Here is a map with directions.

Acommodation

If you are coming with friends, workmates, or family, there are plenty of Airbnb options close to Las Cigarreras. Alternatively, there are hosting options near the beach, which has a nice walk to the venue.

For hotels or hostels, we encourage you to search at Booking or Hoteles.com. There are plenty of affordable options in Alicante.

Transport

By plane

The nearest airport is Alicante-Elche (ALC). Once you leave the airport take a taxi (white cars with green stripes) to your acomodation. There are also busses towards the city centre.

By train

Train is the comfiest way to arrive to Alicante. The Alicante-terminal station is just 20 minutes waking distance from Las Cigarreras. We have a 30% discount from RENFE which you can use by presenting this document when you buy your ticket.

By car

If you are driving, use this map to find out your itinerary. Take into account that there is limited parking nearby the venue. If you can't find a spot, there are a few underground parking lots.

If you want to do car sharing, book a seat at BlaBlaCar.

By bus

Alicante's bus terminal is 25 minutes walking distance from Las Cigarreras. If you choose this travelling option, consider taking a taxi (white cars with a green stripe) to get to your accommodation.

By boat

If you are taking the Ferry from Baleares, there is no straight route. However, Balearia will drop you close enough, at Dénia. If you are brave enough to come sailing by yourself, you will have to check with Marina Alicante where to moor it.

Moving around Alicante

Everything is within 15 to 20 minutes walking distance. Therefore, in most cases it's not worth it to rent a vehicle. There is a pleasant weather in May so walking everywhere is delightful. It's also a good chance to meet the community while stretching your legs so, give it a go and get those feet moving!
